On Nov. 3, 2015, the voters of Forest Lake Area Schools will once again have a chance to vote on a bond referendum that would make repairs and upgrades to all of the district's buildings. On the ballot, the referendum will be divided into two questions.
Passage of Question #1 will mean that the district will receive upgrades in the areas of safety and security, energy efficiency, and the repairs or replacement of many items that have come into disrepair. These include: roofs; boilers; heating, ventillation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Passage of Question #2 will mean the high school will have a varsity track, after nearly 15 years without a home track. The high school's performing arts center will receive upgrades, and other arts and athletics facilities around the district will receive upgrades, repairs and improvements.
Question #1 must pass in order for Question #2 to pass.
In a continued effort to reduce the amount of paper being sent home, the district has developed a Digital Backpack to "hold" all of those extra papers being sent home that involve community events, community education, sports, and much more. The best part is that you will never lose a piece of paper again!
