Welcome to Linwood Elementary. We are part of the Forest Lake Area School District. We are located just north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, nestled in a small quiet lake community. Minutes from the city, we enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our lakes and forests.
Linwood Elementary is a Minnesota School of Excellence. We are a community of learners, and pursue personal and organizational excellence by encouraging our students to always do their best. Our students and staff have worked hard to attain Annual Yearly Progress for the 2010-2011 school year. We are extremely proud of the work done at Linwood Elementary and appreciate the support we receive from homes and community.
The Linwood Elementary School Staff works diligently to increase student achievement by establishing high expectations for the individual child, utilizing data to provide effective instructional practices and regularly monitoring student achievement to provide differentiation to students based on performance.
The staff at Linwood Elementary also works to create a warm and caring environment that embraces family and community while striving to reach higher levels of achievement for all. We are committed to helping each child achieve success.
In conjunction with the high expectations at Linwood Elementary, we have incorporated a character education program (PRIDE) and an anti bullying program (OLWEUS). Both programs assist in developing the whole child and a positive learning environment for all.
